Mission Statement

“To develop and showcase the talent of dedicated Savannah dancers in a positive environment, as well as to promote the arts within our community.”

Established in 1998 as a not-for-profit organization, the Savannah Danse Theatre has grown both in size and success. With its reputation for excellence, artistic venture and outstanding performances, it has earned the distinction of being Savannah’s accomplished dance company.

Known for its versatility in performing traditional, original, and classic works, Savannah Danse Theatre’s brilliant presentation of the traditional holiday ballet, The Nutcracker and The Golden Pecan will reward its audience with talented dancers and beautiful costumes, and inspired choreography.

The purpose of Savannah Danse Theatre, Inc. is:

• To offer educational programs to develop dancers
• To enrich the community through diverse professional performances
• To offer educational outreach experiences
• To increase appreciation of the arts in the community
• To use dance as a tool to assist in developing a more highly educated, diverse community.
